    New Wi-Fi Launched

    Vanier IT Support Services and Vanier IT Services are excited to launch a brand new Wi-Fi network for the College, enabling students, faculty, staff, and visitors unparalleled wireless access, availability, and speed.
    This new network, including 400 antennas all around the campus operates with state-of-the-art technology, allowing all devices to connect easily, but also allowing newer devices with Wireless AC (802.11ac) to connect with the utmost network speeds.

    Wi-Fi Service Interruption

    Please be advised that there will be temporary interruptions of Wi-Fi service between Tuesday January 20th and Thursday January 22nd. This is due to the activation of the new College Wi-Fi system.

    Microsoft’s Clip Art, long a staple of presentations from the classroom to board rooms, is finally at its end, joining the ranks of Clippy, Geocities, and the abacus. So, what are you to do when you need to add some color to your class presentation or office guide? The good news is, it’s a lot easier than you’d think.

    Update to Vanier Walk

    The initial reception of the Vanier Walk, Vanier’s brand new 360° tour of every part of the College has been fantastic with over 1000 people exploring the College in the first couple days of the launch. The Walk Challenge, prompting you to explore and find the ten hidden locations was a resounding success, with two students and one employee winning the competition by being the first to find all ten Challenge locations after their exhaustive searches. Stay tuned to VTV to see their exclusive with the winners To celebrate their win, we added hints to the Challenge page to give anyone who hasn’t found them some cryptic help!

    Vanier Walk 360º Tour

    IT Support Services is proud to unveil the Vanier Walk – a 360º tour of the entire College, from the front sign to N building, from the smallest classroom to the Gym, and from the cafeteria to places you’ve never seen before. With over 600 images captured in 360º x 180º imagery, showing every room, resource area, corridor, and part of the campus from floor to ceiling and wall to wall.

    Digital Store launches

    Vanier Students and Employees can now purchase software at much-reduced educational rates, including landmark suites such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, SPSS Statistics, EndNote reference manager, virtual machine software from Parallels and VMware, and more. Vanier IT Support Services is pleased to unveil this Digital Store, available at store.vaniercollege.qc.ca which provides these reduced-cost titles to the Vanier community as a service, ensuring that all at Vanier have access to the latest and most efficient software at home in addition to what they have on campus.
